Good morning, this is Topher from Washington Church of Christ bringing you a message minute. 

Gabriel wishes you peace!
Jesus gave us these words in John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you."  I don't know about you, but I desire peace.  Peace in my family, our community, and this great country.  Peace from God seems to be a precious commodity that is in great supply in the heavenly realms, but in low demand  in earthly dominions.   Maybe that's why, to encourage peace, Jesus shared in the beatitudes, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." (Matt 5:9) 


There is a benefit to yourself and a blessing to those around you when you strive toward peace.  To cultivate peace in your life, exercise the peace-bringing virtues in the Bible such as love, forgiveness, and patience.  Focus an active thought, a dedicated time, and positive energy on bringing peace to your life and your neighbor's.  You'll be glad you did.
