Good morning, this
is Topher from Washington Church of Christ, bringing you a positive message minute.
Do you remember that
brand of t-shirts popular in the 1990's that claimed the moniker, "NoFear." As a teen I was emboldened
when I wore my "No Fear" t-shirts.
Out of curiosity I looked up the company, and I was surprised to see
that they also dabbled in relationships with Energy Drinks, MMA, Motorcross,
Surfing, Concerts, and eventually even Bankruptcy in 2011. While the "No Fear" company may be
on the ropes, the No Fear philosophy is still very much alive in scripture and
in us today.
In John 14:27 Jesus
emboldened his disciples with these words, "Do not let your heart be
troubled, nor let it be fearful."
Paul later shared to the young Timothy, "For God has not given us a
spirit of fear, but of Power, and of Love, and of a sound mind." (2 Tim1:7). My friends, If you're approaching
this morning and feeling fear as you take stock of giants awaiting you this
week, endeavor to set the fear aside, and grasp the Spirit of Power and Love
that only God can give. You'll be glad
you did.
You remember the tshirt, but did you know "No Fear" made an energy drink? Here's a positive No Fear message minute. https://t.co/VgntsbyqaL pic.twitter.com/3Cp1lWasIx— Christopher Wiles (@TopherWiles) March 6, 2017
